If ones hand does not have potential as a top pair or a straight or flush, the hand should be folded if another player bets ahead. Only when one hand looks good on the flop should one bet on it. Players must play the odds and not hope for a miracle.
Be Wary of Using Blinds Just because a player has money in the game does not mean that every hand should be played. Wagering on a weak hand can resulting disaster and cost more in money losses if players would have opted to fold in the blinds. In terms of long term playing, folding early is not always a bad move. It may open up opportunities for winning in the future or next hand.
Bet the Turn Players can bet on the turn if they have a good hand and believe it to be the best in the table. Many players hold out in the chance that something better might come up and lose their chance at a good shot. Careful betting is to be done here for a re-raised amount after a turn may require a player to throw their hand away.
